A Mother’s Love: Nurturing the Next Generation
For Manda, motherhood is the glue that keeps the family together. Though, one of the biggest challenges she faces is balancing work and family life. As a working mother and a lecturer, she often juggles multiple responsibilities. However, she prioritizes her family above all else. "Family always comes first," she emphasizes. "I'm grateful for my understanding colleagues who allow me to balance my professional and personal life."
Manda is passionate about raising her children to be confident and independent individuals. She believes in limiting their exposure to technology and social media, allowing them to appreciate the simple joys of childhood. "I want them to be true to themselves and not be swayed by peer pressure," she explains.
One of her proudest moments is witnessing her eldest daughter's self-assurance. Despite facing social challenges, her daughter remains confident and true to herself. Manda attributes this strength to her daughter's ability to stand up for herself and not be intimidated by others.
“I'm hesitant to give advice because every mother and child is unique. The challenges we face as a mother and our parenting styles will vary.” She emphasizes. If she has to give advice for the new mothers out there, is to let their children grow at their own pace. "Every child is unique," she says. "By allowing them to develop naturally, we can foster a generation of confident and resilient individuals."
